Peacock Ripper "Chico"

Don't let the name "chico" (small) fool you. This lure is just a bit smaller, lighter, and offers a slimmer profile than its big brother, the "grande" size Peacock Ripper yet packs the same big time commotion. It was designed for those preferring a bait that will not wear you out as much as the larger prop baits, yet still create the same enticing sound and surface disturbance of these heavier ripping lures. The Peacock Ripper Chico lure body is 6-inches in length and weighs 1.5-ounces. Hooks are Owner 4x 1/0 and ready to fish. SS chopper prop is attached with 2 inch long SS .092 eye screw. Life-like eyes are 3/8 inch 3D molded. In addition to peacock bass; these lures can also be effective on stripers and other large gamefish. For best results, fish on a 6'2"-6'6" MH to H action casting rod, 65-pound braided line and fast gear ratio reel.

This is the lure for you if you have been looking for a large, heavy duty wooden popper lure that has the traditional fish attracting popping/chugging sounds. There will be days when the ripper lures may not turn the fish on. Now you have a back up lure that will draw some explosive hits. This popper will perform for you like most of the factory made poppers will not.The wooden lure body is 4 inches long and diameter at the largest point is 1 1/8 inch. Thie lure has through wire construction for super strength. Belly hook is attached with a 320 lb. rated Spro swivel. Lure weight is 1.5 oz. Treble hooks are 4x 1/0 Owner. All the hardware on this lure is heavy duty right down to the #6 3 coil SS split rings. Life-like, fish attracting eyes are 1/5 inch 3D .

The “grande” size Peacock Ripper was designed for those anglers that are of the firm belief that it takes a large bait to tempt the biggest, toughest peacock bass in South America. This lure is 7 inches in length and weighs 1.75 ounces. Hooks are Owner 4x 2/0 and ready to fish. SS chopper prop is attached with 2 inch long SS .092 eye screw. Life-like fish attracting eyes are 3/8 inch 3D molded. These lures are individually created, using premium grade Eastern Red Cedar. In addition to peacock bass; these lures can also be effective on stripers and other large gamefish.
